This position will be responsible for weighing samples for analysis in the Fire Assay Department. Other tasks may include:
- Weighing of pulps and standards using a balance scale
- Calibrate the balance scale
- Use of Support Site/LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) for daily tasks
- Maintenance of equipment in working order and complete required documentation and logs, files, etc.
- Assist in ensuring turnaround time meets clients and Company’s requirements by working overtime when required
- Assist in maintaining departmental housekeeping
- High School Diploma
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal and computer skills
- High performance individual who can meet timelines
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced work environment to achieve turnaround
- Excellent eye-hand co-ordination and manual dexterity
- Ensure full compliance with the company’s Health & Safety and Professional Conduct Policies
- Proven time management skills, reliable, and detail oriented
- Proactive, motivated, demonstrate initiative and common sense
- Ability to multi-task, good organizational skills and problem solver
- Ability to work well independently and as a team member
- Clean shaven in order to safely wear PPE
