General Labour - Skid Maker

Starting Hourly Rate:

- $23.32-24.63 per hour, day shift: 6:30 am - 2:30 pm, 40 hours per week

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Make skids safely (wearing PPE, including safety glasses and hearing protection)

- Use of a pneumatic nail gun and power saw

- Keep inventory of wood and nails, and inform supervisor when stock depletes

- Fast-paced, involving continual body activity, lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs

- Maintain a clean work area

- Report any and all quality concerns promptly

- Follow safe ‘Standard Operating Procedures’ accepting coaching from more experienced team mates and taking direction from Supervisors

- Other duties as required

Qualifications and Skills:

- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

- 1+ years industrial experience is preferred but we’re willing to train

- Punctual, dependable, and reliable, did we mention regular attendance is important and expected

- Experience with machinery, hand tools, and lifting devices

- Steel industry experience is a definite asset

- Education: high school or equivalent
