We are looking for a talented and experienced General Mechanical Engineer with a background in data centers to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, optimizing, and maintaining mechanical systems specifically tailored for data center environments, ensuring operational efficiency and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Mechanical Design and Development:
•Design and develop mechanical systems, including cooling, HVAC, and plumbing systems for data centers.
•Utilize CAD software to create detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
2. Thermal Management:
•Analyze and improve thermal management solutions to ensure optimal temperature control and energy efficiency.
•Conduct airflow analysis and simulations to enhance cooling performance.
3. System Integration:
•Collaborate with electrical engineers and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems with electrical and IT infrastructure.
•Ensure that all mechanical systems meet industry standards and specifications.
4. Project Management:
•Assist in the planning, execution, and management of data center projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets.
•Monitor project progress and resolve any technical issues that arise.
5. Documentation and Compliance:
•Maintain accurate documentation of design processes, system configurations, and project specifications.
•Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
6. Maintenance and Optimization:
•Develop and implement maintenance strategies for mechanical systems to maximize uptime and performance.
•Conduct regular inspections and troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise.
7. Continuous Improvement:
•Stay informed about the latest technologies and best practices in data center design and engineering.
•Propose innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve system reliability.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
•3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on data centers or similar facilities.
•Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and thermal analysis tools.
•Strong understanding of HVAC systems, cooling technologies, and data center operations.
•Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
•Experience with energy-efficient design practices and sustainable technologies.
•Familiarity with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools.
•Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
