Residency Requirements:

Travel time from your primary residence to your assigned headquarters must be 25 minutes or less under normal driving conditions.

Alliant Energy is currently looking for a qualified Journey Gas Technician to join our team in Fond du Lac, WI. In this position you will be responsible for maintaining and installing gas underground distribution systems, as well as installing electric underground cables.

What you will do* Maintains and installs gas underground distribution systems; installs electric underground cable, pedestal stakes and ground rods when performed concurrently with gas; installs gas mains; installs and maintains gas services, including regulators, relief valves and meters; sets hydrants and valves; locates and repairs leaks; reads gas meters; taps mains and makes connections.

Education Requirements* High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience* Completion of the gas technician apprenticeship and pass the final position qualification examination.

Other Requirements* Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities* Proven skill with digging tools and other modern street equipment and piping

Pay Range:

$46.40 - $48.23
