Junior Technicians (Fuel) are responsible for the complete installation and repair of mechanical systems around generators and ensuring that customers have reliable and code compliant systems.
What You’ll Do – The Role (Responsibilities)
- Performing major and minor repairs to various mechanical systems
- Carrying out plumbing repairs and modifications to fuel and exhaust systems
- Carrying out start-up inspections of new or rebuilt equipment installations
- Ensuring proper in-house maintenance is performed on vehicles, workshop, yard, shop equipment and tools
- Completing all required administrative work-order documentation to ensure costs are correctly allocated, and customer information is captured
- Other tasks and responsibilities as may be required from time to time consistent with the position of Junior Technician and the job description and duties set out above.
- Oil Burner Technician Certification – Class 2 (Ontario) is an asset
- Petroleum Mechanic (PM3) is an asset
- HVAC, Gas, Welding certifications are an asset
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience working in the field
- In the case of a power outage or declared State of Emergency by any level of Government, be available for work.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Heavy lifting and physical exertion, is required
- Overtime as required.
- Lifting or moving up to 50lbs may be required.
