Fuel Oil Service Technician

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical services and a passion for problem-solving. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining home heating equipment to ensure optimal performance. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients.

Duties

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various residential heating equipment.

- Utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot common issues.

- Conduct annual inspections to identify potential problems and recommend solutions to homeowners.

- Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used.

- Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency and effectiveness.

- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with homeowners regarding repairs and maintenance needs.

- Willingness to work an on-call weekend and after-hours rotation.

- Safely operate company vehicles.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a fuel oil Service Technician or in a similar role.

- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

- A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required.

- Technical certification is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
