Fuel Delivery Driver (CDL Class B X) Home Every Day- Full-Time

This is a year-round employment from one of the area’s most respected employer’s Miller’s Gas & Oil

Service, Inc. This job is home every night, no overnight travel.

Job Summary:

To transport and deliver petroleum products to Miller’s Gas & Oil Service, Inc. customers. Applicant must have knowledge of CDL regulations.

Job functions:

 Drives a tank truck to deliver heating oil, gasoline and diesel fuel to customers.

 Records amount of product delivered and issues delivery tickets to customers.

 Applies CDL driving skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds and in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather and in and out of tight areas.

 Performs all duties within company policies and procedures, and complies with all federal, state, and local regulations for the safe operation of commercial vehicles.

 Maintains records required for compliance with federal and state regulations including driver’s record of duty status, mileage records, and other records required by law.

 Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs.

 Reports all accidents involving driver or company equipment.

 Reports highway safety hazards noted while in route.

 Promptly reports any delays due to breakdowns, weather or traffic conditions or other emergencies, or any irregularities relating to pick up or delivery.

 Performs required before, during and after operation “user maintenance” and provide required report.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, caustic chemicals and vibration.

Expected Hours of Work:

Some flexibility in hours is allowed. Must work 37.5 hours per week to maintain full-time status.

Evening and weekend work may be required as seasonal workload demands.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Willing to train if applicant meets the following requirements:

 High School diploma or GED

 Valid CDL License Class B with XEndorsement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
