Operates a straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor-type vehicle equipped with a front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage or processing areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers, or chutes, and to load trucks by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with other employees over a two-way radio.
- Manipulates controls to operate the loader.
- Performs routine maintenance on the loader, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
- Clears truck dumps.
- Maintains inventory of hogged fuel in an orderly and organized manner.
- Provides uninterrupted fuel supply and stable blend(flow) to the boilers.
- Assists Firemen and may assume Fireman’s duties when assigned and required.
- During turnarounds, casualties and emergency conditions, operates valving, other equipment, and fire hoses.
- Performs clean-up around the fuel system and loader wash areas.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide by 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
