Fort Hills Site -Janitorial Camp work

Position Details:

- Job Type: Full-time

- Compensation: $20.50 per hour (with an additional $1/hour premium for overnight shifts)

The Janitorial/ Custodial Site Cleaner position consists of keeping buildings in a clean and orderly condition and performing heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. It also consists of performing routine maintenance activities, and notifying management of the need for equipment repairs.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Language Skills: Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.

- Physical Requirements: Capable of standing and walking for up to 12 hours daily.

- Schedule Commitment: Must be able to work seven consecutive days without interruptions.

- Safety Certification: Completion of CSO (Common Safety Orientation) or an equivalent (e.g., BSO or CSTS-09/OSSA Regional Orientation). Note: CSTS-2020 is not accepted.

- Driver License: At least a FULL CLASS 5 Driver's License (NO restrictions) (required)

- Certification Documentation: Proof of required certification must be provided upon request.

Candidates without the certification can purchase and complete the required course via the Energy Safety Canada website: CSO-Common Safety Orientation.

Transportation Details:

Travel to and from the worksite is provided from the following locations:

- Fort McMurray – Bus transport.

- Edmonton International Airport (YEG) – Fly-in/Fly-out.

- Calgary International Airport (YYC) – Fly-in/Fly-out.

Role Responsibilities:

- Working both indoors and outdoors with the possibility of working in rain, extreme cold (-35) and heat; depending on the time of year.

- Work 12 hours per day, 7 days on 7 days off. Staying in camp each night. (Condensed Work Week, NO OVERTIME) (This schedule is not negotiable)

- Walking all day outside and inside, up& down stairs, on construction site around heavy machinery

- Heavy lifting – Carrying supplies from trailer to trailer some boxes up to 50 pounds

- Driving on site – Drivers are required to drive pickup trucks to different areas on the work site

- Wake up between 4:30 am – 5:00am to get ready for work

- Wear full PPE when required, including hard hat, safety glass without limitations. (You will be required to bring your own Safety Boots.)

- All aspects of cleaning: dusting, cleaning washrooms, lunch trailers, office trailers, collecting and

- lifting garbage, extensive mopping and sweeping, repetitive motion, mopping large areas by hand with a 5 pound mop
