The Forklift Driver is responsible for receiving and correctly organizing all material in the Warehouse. In addition, the Forklift Driver may be asked to stage all material requested for the following day. The Forklift Driver is also responsible for emptying the trash/grinder bins located throughout the plant based on the Trash/Grinder Schedule. The Forklift Driver will be responsible for delivering requested material to the plant. The Forklift Driver will be responsible for following Leedo's Forklift Safety Procedures as well as Preventative Measure Procedures.
· Responsible for backing up Lead position in the Warehouse.
· Responsible for receiving material from vendors and performing quality inbound inspections.
· Responsible for cycle counts as they pertain to the Warehouse.
· Responsible for the completion of daily scheduled/unscheduled work.
· Responsible for preventive maintenance action items performed daily at company standards for Warehouse forklift.
· Responsible for staging all material requested for the following day.
· Responsible for delivering material to the plant as needed for production
· Responsible for emptying trash and grinder bins according to the Trash Schedule.
· Responsible for leading by example regarding attendance, PPE requirements, breaks, and to "Drive" compliance in all areas.
· Additional duties as assigned by Warehouse Lead
· Must be able to perform written data entry tasks.
· Must be able to safely drive a forklift.
· Must be able to distinguish between different types, textures and colors of wood.
· Must be able to distinguish between different laminate paper colors.
· Must be able to perform basic math skills and the ability to read a measuring tape.
· Must have a strong sense of urgency in accomplishing goals.
· Must have a basic ability for reading and writing.
· Must have a high school diploma or GED. Will take work experience in Lieu of Education.
Factory environment, possibly including heavy lifting, and areas where eye protection, hearing protection, and respirators are required.
