Job Overview

Duties

- Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks for loading and unloading goods.

- Perform order picking tasks using RF scanners to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders.

- Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all materials are properly documented and handled according to OSHA standards.

- Conduct heavy lifting and materials handling as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following best practices in warehouse management systems.

- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.

- Assist in training new staff on warehouse procedures and equipment operation as needed.

- Utilize mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance of warehouse equipment to ensure safe operation.

Experience

- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or similar roles is preferred.

- Familiarity with order picking processes and heavy equipment operation is essential.

- Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or in a leadership role is a plus.

- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, along with materials handling best practices.

- Understanding of safety regulations including OSHA compliance is required.

- Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems will be beneficial.

- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment maintenance is advantageous.
