Forestry Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

This position exists to do the following:

Assist the Chief Forester and Team Leader - Forestry & Surveillance in managing and developing the Company's timberland resources in an assigned Forest Region (typically 25K-40K acres) in a manner that supports corporate financial & sustainability goals

Ensure protection of land and land rights through boundary line maintenance and surveillance of Alabama Power Company, Alabama Property Company, and SEGCo land holdings, including regulated property (i.e., plant-in-service, FERC project, and held for future use), and

Provide support for the acquisition of fee owned land and transmission right of way (ROW), as well as for leasing, sales and development.

This role is based at the Forestry & Lake Management office in Dadeville, AL, and requires frequent daily travel, with occasional overnight trips as needed.
