Job Description Summary of Position:
Mechanics are required to perform a range of duties and responsibilities that can differ from day to day depending on the jobs that they are assigned. This can include anything from routine maintenance work to specialized repairs. There will be needs outside of the Fleet Maintenance role in the Materials Management / Yard area that will be more roustabout in nature and needed from time to time. This is unique for this position in the NDB (Northern Delaware Basin) area.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
The following represents most of the position's duties but is not meant to be all-inclusive or prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary. Employees are expected to comply with all regulatory, environmental, and safety rules and standards, as well as corporate policies.
As a Fleet Mechanic, You Will Be Responsible For
- Determining and investigating any malfunction codes in the vehicles integrated diagnostic system using skilled expertise and diagnostic tools.
- Conducting routine maintenance, as needed, such as fluid level checks, brake pad replacement, or oil changes.
- Utilizing WaterBridge’s ACE CMMS system to accurately capture all maintenance related activities along with having work orders assigned for completion.
- Following all manufacturer specifications for vehicle system repairs.
- Maintaining and cleaning mechanics bay equipment and tools to ensure they are always kept in a safe and usable condition.
- Performing work in the priority assigned by Fleet Supervisor.
- Understanding and adhering to all Safety and Environmental rules and regulations.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Have 1-2 years’ experience as a mechanic.
- Must have knowledge and ability to conduct routine services and vehicle maintenance.
- Have experience diagnosing and inspecting vehicles for faults and repairs.
- Have sound problem-solving skills.
- Live in Orla, TX, or within a 60-mile radius from Orla, TX, required.
- Company-paid housing will be provided during your working shift.
- May be subject to environments that are extreme in nature, such as heat, cold, etc.
- The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to:
- Standing, walking, or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Walking on uneven and vegetated terrain.
- Working at heights up to 35 feet as needed.
- Climbing steps at a 45-degree angle up to 35 feet.
- Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and must be able to carry a self-contained breathing apparatus if needed. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Monday through Friday, 5/2 (5 days on 2 days off)
- OR
- 10/4 (10 days on 4 days off)
- 10-hour shifts
