Rogers Group Inc. is currently seeking Traffic Control Flaggers with experience for the Huntsville, AL / North Alabama operations area, Alabama SMA reporting to the General Manager of Construction & Superintendent. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout our existing operations and additional operations through growth.



Job Details:

Wages start at $22.00hr, Starting wage based on experience.
Fulltime/Permanent
Day Shift ($3 Night Shift Premium for all night shift work)
Weekend work may be required
Overtime available along with extensive medical and retirement benefits


Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for setting up lane closures on high traffic projects in accordance with MUTCD regulations and at the direction of Traffic Control Coordinator.
Help manage and direct the flow of traffic using stop/slow paddles, hand signals, and flags in accordance with trained procedures.
Operate TMA Truck – driving to and from work site and manning vehicle at the entry to lane closures.
Assist the construction and paving crew with labor tasks as needed.


Qualifications:

Must be dedicated to working safely at all times.
Experience preferred working road construction in high traffic areas.
Preference given to current ATSSA Traffic Control Technician Certification holders.
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and nights when necessary.
Team player.
Willing to be trained to flag/regulate traffic in accordance with MUTCD guidelines.
Willing to assist crew with manual labor duties, as needed.
Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.

35-hour Weather Guarantee after 30 days of employment, must be available to work 6 days during the seven-day work period. Hours guaranteed, up to 35 hours (example: worked 20hrs, Actual Pay 35hrs; worked 38hrs, Actual Pay 38hrs). Weather pay is accrued on weekly accumulation, not hours per day. Holiday pay counts toward the 35-hour guarantee.
