Its workforce is highly skilled and can attend to just about any need that arises in the areas of equipment, fire protection, hydraulic services, and heavy equipment parts and service.

We seek Fire Suppression Technicians to join our team. The ideal candidate will install, inspect, and maintain fire suppression on off-road mining and forestry equipment, such as dozers, graders, haul trucks, shovels, etc.

Responsibilities

•

Installation and preventive maintenance of off-road Fire Suppression Systems,

•

Repairs, Installs, Troubleshooting, and Recharges of off-road Fire Suppression Systems,

•

Discharge investigations,

•

Submit records of the work performed: Duly filled PM Check Sheet, work report and LEMs,

•

Assist lead hand in discharge investigations,

•

Duly fill time sheets and pass over Notes at the end of each shift.

Requirements

•

Mechanical aptitude is a must.

•

Must be well-versed with hand tools.

•

Electrical troubleshooting is an asset

•

Physically able to climb, carry, and lift 40 lb.

•

Physically and mentally capable of performing all duties in a safe and professional manner.

•

A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

•

Successfully pass drug and alcohol test.

Schedule:

•

14 on-14 off or 7 On-7-off , 12 hour shift

Experience

•

Proven experience of 3 years as an off-road fire suppression technician.

•

Mechanical knowledge and experience: 3 years. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely.

•

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail when diagnosing issues with sprinkler systems.

•

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

•

Relevant certifications or licenses in fire protection are a plus but not mandatory.
