Job SummaryAs a Deficiency Sales Writer you will be responsible for the quoting of repairs of deficiencies found in all fire protection systems including but not l imited to wet and dry sprinkler systems, fire alarms, fire suppression systems (hoods , emergency egress lights/exits, fire extinguishers, fire doors) backflows, and fire pumps based on technicians’ findings. Your role is crucial in maintaining the highest standards of fire safety for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
•Review inspection reports and find deficiencies in fire protection systems that have been reported by the technicians
•Work with vendors to secure best pricing on quoted parts and repairs.
•Work with customers to help “close the loop” on their repair and approve the work to be done
•Provide quotes to our customers through our inspection portal to propose consistent offerings.
•Follow up with customers in a timely fashion
•Document all work performed and maintain accurate records.
•Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
•Provide excellent customer service and address client concerns promptly.
Skills
•Strong project management abilities to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.
•Proficient in construction management principles with a focus on fire protection systems.
•Familiarity with Servicetrade (or similar CRM) for project documentation and collaboration.
•Ability to negotiate contracts effectively to achieve favorable terms for the organization.
•Knowledge of construction estimating processes, including pricing strategies for fire protection installations.
•Experience in building relationships with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders in the construction industry.
•Understanding of construction site dynamics to ensure seamless integration of fire safety measures.This position is essential for maintaining high safety standards within the built environment while ensuring that all fire protection measures are effectively implemented.
