Position Overview: Vulcan Metals Corp is seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst.
This role will be responsible for assisting with financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and excellent communication abilities. This role has broad visibility to senior leadership and cross-functional influence within the entire organization.
ELIGIBILITY TO PERFORM THE ROLE:
Employment eligibility requires U.S. person status under ITAR regulations, including U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or other protected individuals due to export control requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
- Develop and maintain financial models for various business units and projects.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for financial analysis.
- Support the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support decision-making across the entire orginization.
- Assist in the evaluation of potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions.
- Assist in ERP and other financial system conversions as required.
- Collaborate with different departments to ensure alignment of financial goals
- Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- 1-3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, investment banking, or a similar role.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Experience working with ERP systems and business intelligence tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- This position qualifies for a hybrid remote with a minimum of 2 days a week in the Kansas City, MO office.
