American Anthracite is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) professional to support our budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis functions. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this role plays a crucial part in enabling the organization to make informed, data-driven decisions.

The successful candidate will bring strong financial acumen, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work cross-functionally with operational and leadership teams.
- Support the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
- Partner with department leaders to validate assumptions, monitor performance, and provide actionable insights.
- Prepare and deliver financial reports, variance analyses, and management dashboards.
- Conduct cost analyses, track margins, and build financial models to support decision-making.
- Assist with month-end close processes and reporting.
- Provide backup support to other accounting and finance functions as needed.
- Contribute to process improvements to strengthen planning, reporting, and analysis functions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, accounting, or a similar financial role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP or reporting systems is preferred.
- Solid understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.
Preferred but not required: CPA, CMA, or MBA candidates are welcome but not necessary for success in this role.
