General Summary
The Financial Analyst’s responsibilities include the analytical and internal control documentation needed to prepare and file DT Midstream’s annual Form 10-K and quarterly Form 10-Qs with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The Financial Analyst is also responsible for researching and assisting with technical accounting guidance based on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Key Accountabilities
•Compile information to assist with the preparation of external financial reports in compliance with SEC and other regulatory reporting requirements
•Assist with preparing and providing information to internal and external auditors to facilitate the audits in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
•Provide accounting guidance and analysis on accounting related matters with manager supervision
•Research current and emerging accounting issues and implement related accounting policies and procedures and technical whitepapers with manager supervision
•Assist with analysis of business transactions and proposal of accounting treatment
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
•Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
•3 years of experience in auditing, financial accounting and/or financial reporting
•Big 4 public accounting auditor and/or public company direct experience
Other Qualifications
Preferred:
•Master’s Degree in Accounting
•Experience using reporting software (i.e. Workiva)
Other Requirements:
•Base understanding of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
•Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams
•Engages in a positive working environment within and across functional areas
•Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office suite
•Strong oral and written communication skills
•Ability to work overtime during peak reporting periods; flexibility in working hours required
•Willing to perform an emergency assignment as needed
