Coates Field Service, Inc. seeks a full-time in-office Financial Accountant I to provide finance and accounting support to our Accounting and Finance Group. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and a motivated “can-do” attitude to support our operations team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•System Management & Data Integrity: Ensure projects are accurately set up and maintained in project management and ERP systems. Facilitate information sharing and resolve data collection issues among various departments and stakeholders, including Operations, Accounting, Sales and Finance.
•Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track actual spending against budgets, monitor key performance indicators (like burn rates), and report on overall project performance. Assist in preparation of project estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts. Prepare monthly client reporting as needed.
•Authorization & Month-end: Secure and communicate project spending authorizations and manage project change orders as needed. Assist with month-end Accounting close, monthly bank and account reconciliations.
•Other Duties: Facilitate other duties as assigned and needed.
Education and Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
•3 to 5 years related accounting / finance experience.
Preferred Skills:
•Advanced skills in Excel.
•Hands-on knowledge and use of ERP Software.
