As a Finance Transformation Senior Analyst, you will play a key role in implementing strategic change across the finance function of our energy trading business. You will support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of finance processes, systems, and data to enhance operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and decision-making capabilities. Additionally, you will oversee the support and optimization of our Workday platform, ensuring the system operates efficiently while driving enhancements that align with organizational goals.
Project Delivery:
Support the delivery of finance transformation initiatives, including system upgrades, system integrations, and enterprise data initiatives. Track project milestones, manage risks, and ensure prompt completion of deliverables.
Data & Reporting:
Leverage leading technologies to develop and refine reporting and analytics for the finance and mid-office functions. Ensure data integrity and consistency across enterprise and finance systems.
Change Management:
Support change management activities including stakeholder engagement, expectation management, training, and communication plans. Act as a liaison between finance users and technical teams to ensure that business requirements are comprehensively understood and fulfilled.
Process and Controls:
Help enhance business processes as well as internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements. Document new processes and maintain SOPs.
Process Improvement & Automation:
Analyze existing finance processes and identify opportunities for standardization, automation, and optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help implement effective solutions.
Workday Financials Management:
Lead stabilization efforts and implement continuous improvements across Workday Financials modules, ensuring optimal results. Design, configure, and optimize modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Procurement, Banking & Settlement, and Financial Reporting. Co-manage integrations between Workday and third-party systems, troubleshooting and optimizing as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in finance, transformation, or consulting roles—ideally within energy, commodities, or trading environments.- Extensive experience with Workday Financials modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Procurement.
- Strong understanding of finance processes (e.g., GL, FP&A, settlements, trade lifecycle).
- Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Power BI, Python, and Workday.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in energy trading or commodities markets.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., IFRS, SOX, etc.).
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or Agile/Scrum experience.
- Workday certifications.
- Strong experience in strategic IT implementation projects, including gathering business requirements and driving end-to-end delivery.
- Experience working in an Agile environment, with knowledge of Agile methodologies and best practices.
