FIELD TECHNICIAN

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications and networking, with hands-on experience in fiber splicing, network installation, and field service. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently in various environments while ensuring the highest standards of service quality.

Duties

- Perform fiber splicing and installation of telecommunication networks, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

- Install and configure Cisco routers and other networking equipment as required.

- Conduct network installations, including cabling for Ethernet and telephony systems.

- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment, such as an ohmmeter, to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

- Provide field service support, addressing customer inquiries and technical challenges effectively.

- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used during installations or repairs.

- Collaborate with team members to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a service technician or in a similar role within the telecommunications industry.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with low voltage systems.

- Familiarity with computer networking principles and practices is essential.

- Experience with cabling techniques for both Ethernet and telephony applications.

- Ability to work independently in the field while managing time efficiently.

- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer service excellence.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
