Field Technician I or Higher
The Field Technician I will be trained to safely set, maintain, repair and operate multiple types of natural gas compressors in their respective area for Park Energy Services.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Learn to read gas meters and instrumentation recording the amounts of gas received/delivered/consumed and report any operational, temperature and pressure changes as needed in operating logs
- Learn to watch gauges, dials or other indicators to make sure equipment is working properly
- Learn the function and repair of mechanical, pneumatic and electrical systems associated with natural gas compressors
- Learn to properly set units and perform start-up procedures on location
- Learn to maintain replacement/repair parts for assigned units
- Learn to use hand tools to clean, lubricate, adjust equipment, replace filters, gaskets and other items while identifying what kind of maintenance is needed
- Learn to properly use electronic devices for troubleshooting, testing or commissioning equipment
- Assist with scheduled and unscheduled equipment repairs and maintenance
- Will have call-out rotation responsibilities and respond to unscheduled service calls
- Submit accurate maintenance reports and other necessary paperwork
- Maintain a current and valid driver's license
- Other duties as assigned
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn and efficiently utilize other software tools and applications that are beneficial to the position
- Communicate information effectively with all levels of co-workers by phone, email or in person
- Able to work independently or with others
- High school diploma or GED is preferred
- 1+ years mechanical experience on engines and/or other mechanical equipment
