Job Summary
Our Novitech team is growing, and we’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Field Technician to join us in our Calgary, Alberta location. The primary focus of this role will be to carry out preparation, mobilization and infield deployment of our inline inspection services. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities and a commitment to delivering exceptional service in all aspects of field operations.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Support all field operations related to ILI inspections, ensuring timely and efficient service
•
Prepare and maintain ILI tools for seamless deployment in the field
•
Program set-up and completion of QA/QC checklists to ensure quality and safety standards
•
Assist with the transportation and setup of ILI tools at field locations
•
Execute safe, professional and successful ILI inspections in the field
•
Conduct repairs and reconditioning of ILI tools as needed to maintain optimal performance
•
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electronic and wiring systems
•
Provide timely and accurate field reports to the team
•
Provide exceptional customer service and maintain high accountability standards
•
Perform additional shop and field duties as required
Required Qualifications:
•
Diploma, degree, or equivalent experience in electronics, mechanics, instrumentation, or a related field
•
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain concentration over long periods of time
•
Ability to complete tasks fully in a timely and quality manner
•
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
•
Strong mechanical aptitude and a solid understanding of technical systems
•
Proficiency in computer use, particularly in field-related software
•
A valid passport or the ability to obtain one for travel
•
Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time
•
Experience in the oil and gas industry would be considered an asset
