Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Supervisor to oversee traffic control operations in the South Carolina region. This individual will be responsible for supervising field teams, coordinating with area manager with schedules, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining high safety and compliance standards. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with hands-on traffic control experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to supervise teams and multiple job sites effectively.
- Checking work zones and field crews to ensure compliance with company and customer standards.
- Reviewing and verifying completion of job tickets and Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs).
- Monitoring safety events in Samsara and alerting a manager of any driver performance concerns.
- Approving hours in ClockShark.
- Ensuring crews have all necessary equipment, signage, and PPE before work begins.
- Observing safety practices on site and addressing any issues immediately.
- Coordinating with area managers on scheduling, staffing, and operational needs, including corrective actions when needed.
- Supporting customer relations by addressing on-site questions or concerns professionally.
- Assisting with onboarding and training of new crew members as directed.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, ATSSA TCS preferred
Experience 2+ years of experience in traffic control, with at least 1 year in a supervisory roleSkills
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Proficiency in scheduling, documentation, and basic reporting tools.
Knowledge of DOT regulations, safety procedures, and traffic control best practices.
Ability to travel throughout the assigned area and work in field conditions
Must be able to respond to emergency or after-hours calls when needed
