Job Function:
Under general supervision from the Assistant District Manager & District Manager, the Field Service Specialist routinely works at more than one type of well site as assigned. They provide the planning necessary for the job, including equipment set up, well site direction, and on-site customer-related support activities. Responsibilities include the actions relative to setting up, testing, installing, operating, and maintaining down-hole tool equipment at the customer location. Successful applicants will participate in and promote the Quality Improvement and Quality Control Process developed and implemented by Interra. They will ensure compliance with HSE regulations and guidelines and are expected to act as mentors to train other service specialists in their areas of expertise. Troubleshooting and significant decisions will be communicated quickly and effectively with the operations management team.

Job Roles:
•Installs, operates, maintains, and services down-hole tools
•Explains the function of each tool for its specific application
•Correctly loads out jobs, ensuring that all components pertaining to the job requirements are accounted for
•Completes all related QA/QC documentation when loading/pressure testing each completion tool component
•Demonstrates a safe working attitude and complies with Interra’s Safety Management System
•Conducts job safety analysis and toolbox safety meetings on prescribed tasks
•Trains on all required job applications
•Follows Interra procedures for all job types
•Invoices the customer for all tools and services utilized on location
•Assembles and disassembles all required down-hole tools as needed
•Understands and can explain a BHA diagram and basic completion well program
•Demonstrates a knowledge of basic rig functions
•Understands fracturing completion methods
•Prepare equipment for return to base, including any necessary documentation
•Able to complete all job documentation efficiently, correctly, and on time
•Demonstrate an understanding of downhole hydraulics
•Assists with R&D and testing operations when required
•Keeps work areas tidy and organized
•Able to work 18 days on and 6 days off work schedule
•Such other duties as assigned by Interra from time to time
Education and Experience:
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in the completion tools industry
•Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol testing
•Valid driver’s licence and classification to operate pick-up trucks and tow trailers is required as well as a clean driver abstract
Autonomy of Job:
Under general supervision: occasional supervision over repetitive tasks. New duties or project-type tasks may receive strict or direct guidance depending upon their nature.
Supervisory Responsibility of Job:
Performs own work and assists others as directed.
