This role supports members with new, revised, and relocated service requests while ensuring compliance with Association standards. Key duties include designing overhead and underground distribution facilities, preparing cost estimates, coordinating with internal teams and other utilities, maintaining records and maps, and inspecting job sites. The position also helps resolve member concerns and ensures all work meets safety codes and regulations. Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
- Researches and advises members on their requests for new, revised, and relocated services according to the Association's requirements.
- Provides technical assistance in areas of system design, construction, and maintenance.
- Applies Association policies and procedures regarding line design and field service requests.
- Designs overhead and underground distribution facilities, including calculating material breakdown, drafting staking sheets, and determining the best system design for the Association.
- Calculates project estimate of costs, works with finance to monitor payment and refund requests required by Association policy.
- Maintains Association records related to line extensions, including line share calculations.
- Works with other utilities to coordinate new construction activities at mutual job sites
- Collects GPS field data for mapping and easement requests.
- Inspects job sites to determine member requirements are being met
- Ensure compliance with staking sheets, RUS standards and specifications, and the NESC and NEC requirements related to construction standards and accepted engineering principles.
- Patrols lines and field-checks system maps and records, provides data for mapping and record-keeping to the Operations Dept. for maintenance scheduling.
- Helps to resolve member concerns in a timely manner.

- An Associate Degree is preferred.
- Completion of a Certified Staking and Line Design program is preferred.
- Valid Colorado driver's license with a good driving record.
- Requires expertise in Line design software, AutoCAD, NISC's ABS and CIS systems, hand sketching and simple drafting.
- Familiarity with overhead and underground distribution construction.
- A working knowledge of the duties of the position with knowledge of RUS construction specifications and a portion of the National Electric Safety Code is required.
