Field Service Engineer - production assistance

Job Type: Full-Time, 4 days ON, 4 days OFF - Night shift - 6:00PM to 6:00AM

Location: Newport News, Virginia.

Activity: Industry, heavy machinery, automation. Technical assistance, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

What you develop:

- Support client with the maintenance of APCO designed and manufactured machines including troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of specialized mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems/components.

What you bring:

- 5+ years of facilities/machine maintenance experience.

- Associate degree or similar level of experience.

- The ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.

- A good understanding of electrical systems to include 480 volt and below including various control voltage.

- Knowledge of hydraulic system component diagnostics, repair and failure analysis of valves, stacks, pistons, and rams in excess of 5000 PSI operating pressure.

- Strong customer service, interpersonal and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Fast-thinking, pro-active and self-sufficient.

- Attention to detail and quality.

- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean criminal record.
