Function in an advisory and consultative capacity to Site Management ensuring the safety and well-being of project personnel. Perform site inspections and audits as necessary to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations as well as EH&S Standards. Facilitate the delivery and administration of health and safety initiatives and programs on project locations.
The responsibilities of the Safety Technician include, but are not limited to:
Maintain and develop safety and health inspection log
Plan and administer site-specific safety and health plans
Develop ideas and generate solutions for hazards identified in the work environment
Conduct official Safety Audits and perform walk arounds to observe workers performing construction activities
Apply lessons learned to conduct Safety Audits will little to no supervision
Apply lessons learned to conduct Safety Meetings with little to no supervision
Write reports to review with Senior Safety Staff, and then the construction site client
Calibration of equipment used in conducting air monitoring
Required: Minimum 2 years of Oil and Gas experience
Experience in and willingness to work with integrated professional team
Ability to prioritize when presented with multiple tasks
Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook
