Job Title: Field Office Engineer
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Field Office Engineer to support project operations by managing logistics, coordinating deliveries, and handling various administrative tasks. This role serves as the primary liaison between project sites and the home office, ensuring smooth communication, organization, and problem-solving. The Field Office Engineer is expected to maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer interaction.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
•Organize and assign tasks, complete paperwork, and update project schedules.
•Serve as the liaison between the project worksite and the home office.
•Manage project-related documents, ensuring all necessary materials are up-to-date and properly stored.
•Provide administrative support, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and coordinating rental truck deliveries.
•Oversee clerical tasks to support the area operations manager.
•Monitor and verify the completion of punch list items in a timely manner.
•Check in with supervisors daily for project updates and task assignments.
•Track employee attendance and maintain accurate time records.
•Communicate with HR regarding employee hours, per diems, and reimbursements.
•Provide weekly reports on hours worked and per diem amounts.
•Confirm employee hours and per diems with Project Managers or Directors.
•Collect and maintain necessary record-keeping documentation.
•Support HSE compliance efforts, including safety equipment needs and onboarding safety requirements for new hires.
•Assist with safety-related events, meetings, and compliance updates.
•Provide general support to management and job site supervisors as needed.
•Escalate risks and issues to leadership when necessary.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
•Must be bilingual (REQUIRED)
•Must be able to communicate fluently in English and Spanish - written and verbally.
•Tech Savvy and be proficient in the use of modern technology.
•Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong data management skills.
•Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in fast-paced environments.
•Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
•Ability to work under pressure and manage stress effectively.
•Strong leadership and team management abilities.

•Ability to travel and relocate based on project needs.

Preferred Qualifications:
•Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role within construction, solar installation, or a similar industry.

•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
•This position requires 100% travel as projects are awarded across multiple states.
•Must be available to work Monday–Friday, with most weekends as needed.
•Expected work hours range from 40 to 60 hours per week.
Compensation and Benefits:
•Pay: $25–$30 per hour (DOE)
