This position is a union position with Illinois American Water and the starting pay rate is $31.30 per hour.

This position may be eligible for annual incentive pay and contracted increases as determined by the collective bargaining agreement, and you will have the opportunity for continued salary growth. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Perform J.U.L.I.E. locates. Perform b-box and valveinspections and maintenance/exercising, fire hydrant flushing inspections, leak detection, reads, tests, and/orinstalls water meters when needed and performs customer service functions when needed. Work with utility crewsand customers performing various water and sewer utility repairs, maintenance, installs, and a high level ofcustomer service/awareness. This includes working on main breaks, sanitary sewer backups, and jet flushingsewers. Willingness to perform any and all job related functions when needed. Maintain and keep equipment inproper and safe operating condition. Complete required paperwork and investigations. Information must beaccurate, complete, detailed, and on time. Works with teams or alone to complete assigned projects on time.Operate various heavy equipment and vehicles such as dump trucks, water pumps, jackhammers, sewer jetcleaning, vacuum, equipment, tv equipment, etc. Effectively operate various equipment such as line locators,metal locators, pressure gauges, sawz all, augers, b-box keys, and valve insertion machines.
