The Field Engineering Specialist provides administrative support for the Engineering Department, assisting members with new service requests, coordinating work orders, maintaining records, and supporting various engineering functions.
Provides phone pool coverage, assists members with new service requests, and process relevant information.
Communicates to CVEC members and employees regarding rates, terms & conditions, construction requirements, and payments.
Initiates work orders and scheduling appointments for Staking Technicians and other department personnel.
Utilizes work order and easement database records to provide job location and design information for power line construction, upgrades and maintenance.
Maintains and updates work order and mapping database records, ensuring seamless coordination between construction, marketing, accounting, and maintenance teams.
Process completed service orders, process documentation associated with installation/replacement of facilities (i.e., transformers, meters, and security lights), activate new accounts associated with the construction of new line extensions.
Create and maintain database records for the purpose of tracking and reporting on historical construction related documents such as contracts, easements, staking sheets and any other pertinent information found in CVEC archives.
Work directly with other department personnel to assist with deed and easement research within CVEC facilities and local courthouses to provide necessary information required to obtain easements in association with active construction projects.
Work directly with other department personnel to assist with obtaining and tracking all necessary third-party permits associated with constructions projects. (i.e., DOT, railroad, Army Corps of Engineers)
Work directly with Field Engineering Supervisor on the receipt/approval process of all third-party attachment and joint use applications. Responsible for creating and maintaining electronic databases for the purpose of tracking and reporting on active requests and contracts.
Assists with special projects as needed to include but not limited to CVEC's Emergency Response Plan.
Supports CVEC Mission and Core Values at all times. Adheres to bylaws, guidelines, policies/procedures and philosophies of CVEC to effectively serve and support members.
Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Two to Three years of Map Reading and/or surveying experience.
Salary Range: $28-$35 per hour depending on experience.
