Field Electrician

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems and be capable of working in various environments, including construction sites. This role requires proficiency in both low voltage and high voltage systems, as well as experience with NEC standards. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

Duties

- Install and maintain electrical systems according to local and national codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC).

- Utilize hand tools and voltmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.

- Work on construction sites to build and renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial properties.

- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure that electrical installations are completed safely and efficiently.

- Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to identify hazards or malfunctions.

- Install low voltage systems such as security alarms, lighting controls, and data cabling.

- Understand and implement logic controllers for automated systems where applicable.

Experience

- Proven experience as an Electrician in residential or commercial settings is preferred.

- Familiarity with frame carpentry is a plus, as it may be required for certain installations.

- Strong knowledge of electrical theory and principles related to both low voltage and high voltage applications.

- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams related to electrical installations.

- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail in all tasks performed.
