We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled
Field Construction Managerto join our team at K&A Engineering in

Role Expectations
- Work closely with Construction Managers & Project Team.
- Assist with managing the construction of electric substations, distribution lines, generation upgrades, and other projects in the area.
- Execute work orders and inspections.
- Supervise contractors and make sure projects are being completed correctly.
- Establish and Manage construction materials and review material plans.
- Maintain Safety Awareness and ensure all contractors comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures to assure a safe working environment at the construction site.
- Manage activities related to coordination of field inspection and sign-offs for construction projects.
- Collaborate with management staff to resolve problems and coordinate activities with the Construction Managers and Field Construction Managers.
- Make sure projects and all construction resources are within the allowed scheduled and budget.
- Adhere to company policies, programs, and procedures as well as Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), New England Independent System Operator.
- Training and Guidance will be provided by the Projects Team.
- Promote a proactive safety culture by encouraging open communication, reporting unsafe conditions, and suggesting improvements to safety practices.
- Diligently ensure compliance with safety regulations, conducting safety inspections, and identifying potential hazards to mitigate risks and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Minimum of six (6) years' experience in progressive related electric utility industry experience, with transmission facilities construction management
- Two (2) years of college is preferred
- MS Suite Required – with high competency in MS Excel
- Knowledge of NRA clearances and switching orders would be beneficial
- Experience with Distribution Lines
- Applicants should have the knowledge, experience, and skills needed to review project plans, specifications, contract enforcement, and applicable technical standards, OSHA, and other regulatory statutes.
- Detailed work experience in electrical Utility transmission UV/OV & civil construction
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory capacity experience
- Knowledge of GPS Systems & knowledge of SAP is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings and convey interpretations to contractors
- Ability to investigate and solve construction problems in a timely manner with minimum dependence on others
- Computer and Administrative skills
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Must have current US Work authorization and valid US Driver License in good standing
Pay Range $45—$55/hour
