Faulconer Energy LLC, a well-respected, growing, and privately-owned Independent Texas Oil & Gas Company with over 40 years in the industry has an opportunity for an experienced, detail-oriented Compressor Mechanic located in our east Texas Field Operations. Position performs a key role in the daily inspection, operational monitoring, PM’s, repairs, troubleshooting and reporting on assigned wells, compressors and facilities.
The Natural Gas Compressor Mechanic will play a key role in installing, troubleshooting, repairing and overhauling engines, compressors and other equipment. Units will range from 30 brake horsepower to 2,370 brake horsepower. Engine types will include Ajax, Arrow, Ford, Waukesha, and Caterpillar. Compressor types will include Ajax, Ariel, Gas Jack, Gemini, CIP and Chicago Pneumatic. The successful candidate will work in both field and shop operations.

Duties Include:
•Responsible for performing rotating equipment repairs and troubleshooting.
•Perform equipment alignment, deflection, and other related mechanical work.
•Install and/or assist in new equipment or replacement equipment installations.
•Perform electrical, electronic repairs and troubleshooting.
•Troubleshoot mechanical problems on equipment and insuring resolution of core issue.
•Perform mechanical and emission inspections; install and troubleshoot ignition systems, piping and repairs.
•Inspect each location visited and repair or make recommendations to supervisor for resolution of safety concerns.
•Perform monthly and annual preventative maintenance functions on equipment as needed.
•Perform emergency repairs on engines, compressors, and pumping units.
•Adhere to all field and shop safety standards, policies, and procedures.
•Complete project lists for each lease visited and keep supervisor aware of issues to keep all equipment and leases at company standards.
•Produce PM reports upon completion.
•Perform startup and operation of each lease and its associated surface equipment.
•Monitor and maintain required shutdown limits and settings on equipment control panels.
•Perform rebuilding of starters, clutches, and other auxiliary equipment as needed.
•Maintain mechanic truck and keep auxiliary equipment functioning properly to Company standards.
•Provides support and assists with completion of 7-YR PM's and major overhauls of engines and compressors.
•Perform on-call duties as business needs require.
•Provides support for rebuild of spare swing engines in shop facility.
•Assist in refurbishing Compressor Packages for field placement.
•Position reports directly to Field Compressor Foreman.
Required Qualifications:
•A minimum of 2+ years’ experience as a natural gas compressor technician preferred.
•Technical school certificate and/or diploma in compressor or engine mechanics preferred.
•Strong mechanical aptitude required.
•Good working knowledge of all surface Oil & Gas production equipment.
•Proficient in the operation of tools and auxiliary equipment to perform required job responsibilities.
•Experience with millwright procedures, welding and cutting operations preferred, but not required.
•Demonstrated proficiency in engine analysis preferred.
•Good communication skills to interact effectively with members of small and large teams.
•Ability to work unscheduled hours if needed.
•Experience with Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, and email) and Internet/E-mail.
•Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer.
