Farm Hand - North Texas

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Farm Hand to join our operation in North Texas. This is a full-time position with on-site housing potentially available. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in hay production, heavy machinery operation, and equipment repair. We are looking for someone who is hardworking, self-motivated, and capable of handling a variety of farm duties with a primary focus on hay production.

Responsibilities

- Hay Production & Management: Operate and maintain tractors, balers, mowers, rakes, and related equipment. Cut, bale, haul, and stack hay.

- Heavy Equipment Operation: Safely operate tractors, skid steers, bulldozers, and other machinery for haying and farm maintenance.

- Field & Pasture Maintenance: Manage fields for optimal hay yields, clear brush, improve soil conditions, and maintain irrigation systems.

- Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Diagnose, repair, and maintain farm vehicles, machinery, and tools to ensure operational efficiency.

- Farm Infrastructure: Assist with road upkeep, fencing for hay storage areas, facility maintenance, and general farm improvements.

Qualifications

- Experience: Minimum 3 years working on a farm or in a similar agricultural role, with a focus on hay production.

- Skills: Strong mechanical ability for equipment repair and maintenance.

- Machinery Proficiency: Skilled in operating tractors, balers, mowers, rakes, skid steers, backhoes, and bulldozers.

- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, work outdoors in extreme weather, and perform physically demanding labor.

- Work Ethic: Dependable, hardworking, and able to work independently or with a team.

- Valid Driver’s License: Required, with a clean driving record.
