Job Title: Facilities Integrity Engineer-in-Training (Temporary Contract)

Job Overview:
Kingston Midstream is seeking a Facilities Integrity EIT to join our collaborative team of Integrity professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible to implement and maintain facilities integrity management programs, including short and long-term planning, scheduling and completion and oversight of inspections, repairs, and alterations.
Position Responsibilities
•Responsible to plan and scope activities related to the facilities integrity management, while collaborating with stakeholders so all activities can be conducted safely and in accordance with corporate policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
•Ensure integrity management plans are adequately scoped for inclusion in the annual budget and long-range planning processes while applying cost-benefit analysis and fit-for-purpose principles
•Develop, implement and continuously improve the integrity management programs, including procedures, standards and working instructions for managing facility assets in compliance with evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices
•Provide technical direction and oversight to project execution teams to ensure completion of projects on schedule, and on budget
•Provide timely technical support, expertise, and analysis necessary to support operational or capital project related issues, and regulatory requests
•Help design, develop, and implement the Risk-Based Integrity Management Program (RBIM) for prioritizing maintenance and inspection activities for Kingston Midstream’s assets
•Participate in or lead, as directed, any investigation, reporting, and follow-up activities associated with departmental incidents or facilities loss of containment events
This position is primarily office-based (75%), with regular travel to and from field sites in northern Alberta, southeast Saskatchewan and southwest Manitoba.
Skills and Qualifications:
•Engineering Degree and registered or eligible to be registered as an Engineer-in-Training under APEGS or APEGM or APEGA
•2 - 4 years of progressively responsible engineering experience related to facility integrity, facility and/or pipeline operations
•Experience related to design, construction and maintenance of storage tanks, pressure equipment and pressure piping would be considered an asset
•Working knowledge of API Recommended Practice (API 510, API 570, API 653) and any API/AMPP/NACE certifications are considered an asset
•Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills that can be used to make confident decisions
•Ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines and demonstrating time management and priority setting skills
