The Facility Maintenance Tech/ Custodian has a vital role in the upkeep of the facility. This role involves various tasks related to the upkeep and maintenance of the indoor and outdoor areas.
· Cleaning and Upkeep: Clean and maintain common areas, restrooms, break rooms and office spaces. Common tasks include mopping and vacuuming floors, cleaning walls, sinks, mirrors, restroom fixtures and replacing paper products as needed.
· Waste Management: Emptying trash cans from breakroom, restroom and offices. Properly disposal of the trash.
· Pest Control: Responsible for managing pests, such as rodents and insects.
· Routine Inspections: Conducting regular inspections of equipment or facilities to identify maintenance needs and report issues to the maintenance supervisor.
· Minor Repairs: Performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, fixing leaks, or patching walls.
· Safety Inspections: Ensuring that outdoor areas are safe for use. This may include inspecting walkways, fences, and other structures for damage or hazards.
· Safety Compliance: Ensuring that safety protocols and guidelines are followed during maintenance activities to prevent accidents and injuries
· Documentation/ Record Keeping: Keep records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for future reference and compliance.
· Routinely lift up to 50 lbs.; occasionally up to 100 lbs.
· Repetitive motion; works with moving parts and vibration
· Tolerates products, materials, and fumes associated with custodian maintenance
· Tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing
· Capable of working in the element (outside
· High School Diploma required. At least 1 year of custodial experience preferred
