Are you mechanically inclined and eager to grow your skills in industrial maintenance? We’re looking for a Facilities Technician to become an integral member of our Maintenance & Facilities team. In this role, you’ll gain valuable experience with a wide range of facilities issues and manufacturing equipment while helping keep our operations running smoothly, safely and efficiently, minimizing downtime and maximizing production.
4-day work week / Monday - Thursday / 10-hour day shifts
- Troubleshoot mechanical and equipment breakdowns
- Assist with routine maintenance and repairs of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
- Adjust or change mechanical parts using hand and machine tools
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks
- Operate incinerator and refining processing and analysis equipment as needed
- Maintain accurate records and logs
- Perform required Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) inspections and tasks
- Perform routine facility care to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
- Perform other tasks as needed to further our company's goals and uphold our commitments
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
- Familiar with basic electrical troubleshooting
- 1 year experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Basic computer skills and able to accurately enter data into Excel
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and communicate clearly
- High level of attention to detail
- Excellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
Physical and work condition demands of the position:
- Able to walk and stand the throughout the shift
- Able to reach and lift material
- Able to push and pull carts full of materials
- Able frequently lift up to 50 pounds, and transport full 55-gallon drums via manually operated drum dolly equipment
- Able to wear required PPE at all times with no restrictions
This role operates in a manufacturing facility where conditions may include exposure to loud noise, fluctuating temperatures (hot or cold), and moving machinery. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. The position involves walking, standing, and occasional lifting of materials.
