Fabrication Technician
Position summary:
Perform various duties within the Fabrication Department. Duties include learning the requirements of each department.
Tasks:
•
Help production workers by performing duties, such as supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work areas and equipment.
•
Manually grind parts in preparation for laser or Welding.
•
Remove rough spots from work pieces, using portable grinders, hand files, or scrapers.
•
Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipment.
•
Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists.
•
Operate machinery used in the production process or assist laser or welding.
•
Set up, operate, or tend grinding and related tools that remove excess material or burrs from surfaces, according to specifications.
•
Learn the process of cleaning and preparing parts to be laser cut or welded
Preferred Experience and Education:
No Education or Experience Required
Requirements:
Must be able to lift, push, pull and bend 50 lbs. or less
