Position: Fabrication Supervisor Shift: Evening Shift (with added evening shift premium)

We are currently seeking a Fabrication Supervisor to join our team at our Calgary facility. As the Fabrication Supervisor, you will oversee the operations of our fabrication department, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality materials and components. You will manage a dedicated team, foster a safe working environment, and work towards achieving production goals. Key Responsibilities:

- Team Management: Lead and manage the fabrication team, including the Lead Hand, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal team performance. Schedule work assignments, manage workloads, and monitor team progress to meet production targets.

- Production Oversight: Supervise and coordinate fabrication processes, ensuring compliance with quality standards and production schedules. Collaborate with production planners and other departments to optimize workflow and meet customer demands.

- Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce a strong safety culture within the fabrication department. Conduct regular safety meetings, address safety concerns, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

- Process Improvement: Continuously assess fabrication processes for opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity. Implement process enhancements and best practices to streamline operations.

- Resource Management: Monitor and manage resources, including raw materials and equipment, to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.

- Training and Development: Identify training needs within the team and coordinate with team to provide necessary training. Support the professional development of team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production activities, inventory levels, and employee performance. Prepare regular reports on production metrics and present them to upper management.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 10 years welding and fitting experience

- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment

- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes and materials

- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop a team

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

- Commitment to safety and promoting a safety-first culture

- Strong communication and collaboration skills

- Willingness to work overtime as needed
