We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Fabrication Shop Helper/Parts Dresser to assist in processing, preparing, and organizing parts for welding, powder coating, and other fabrication operations. This position involves working with a variety of tools and equipment to ensure parts are properly prepared, finished, and stored. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment.
- Process parts for welding and powder coating preparation.
- Perform routing, grinding, sanding, and de-burring of parts and products.
- Clean, organize, and store finished and in-process parts/inventory.
- Operate hand tools including but not limited to grinders, drills, routers, sanders, and de-burr tools.
- Occasionally assist with operation of larger shop equipment such as:
- Bandsaws
- Chop saws
- Iron workers
- Press brakes
- Drill press
- Tube rollers
- Tube benders
- Tube notchers
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Assist team members as needed to meet production deadlines.
- Previous shop or manufacturing experience preferred but not required; willing to train.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and shop equipment.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work in a team environment.
- Fast-paced fabrication and production shop.
- Exposure to noise, dust, and machinery (proper PPE provided).
