External Reporting Financial Analyst II - Detroit, MI; Tulsa, OK

The External Reporting Financial Analyst II’s responsibilities include the analytical and internal control documentation needed to prepare and file DT Midstream’s annual Form 10-K and quarterly Form 10-Qs with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The Financial Analyst is also responsible for researching and assisting with technical accounting guidance based on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

- Compile information to assist with the preparation of external financial reports in compliance with SEC and other regulatory reporting requirements

- Assist with preparing and providing information to internal and external auditors to facilitate the audits in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements

- Provide accounting guidance and analysis on accounting related matters with manager supervision

- Research current and emerging accounting issues and implement related accounting policies and procedures and technical whitepapers with manager supervision

- Assist with analysis of business transactions and proposal of accounting treatment

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

- 3 years of experience in auditing, financial accounting and/or financial reporting

- Big 4 public accounting auditor and/or public company direct experience

Other Qualifications

Preferred:

- CPA License

- Master’s Degree in Accounting

- Experience using reporting software (i.e. Workiva)

- Base understanding of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams

- Engages in a positive working environment within and across functional areas

- Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office suite

- Strong oral and written communication skills

- Ability to work overtime during peak reporting periods; flexibility in working hours required

- Willing to perform an emergency assignment as needed
