Structural Design Engineer

Are you looking for a long-term career with a successful business? Do you have experience in structural engineering? If so, CLC Engineering, LLC is an engineering firm, located Alexandria, LA, specializing in civil/structural engineering for high voltage structures in substations and switchyards, currently looking to fill the position of Experienced Structural Engineer. 3-5 years of experience required for this position. Must be local to Alexandria, LA OR willing to relocate!

SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

•

Design of substation structures and foundations

•

Experience with Structural Engineering (3-5 years required)

•

Physical Substation design is preferred but not required.

•

Work with team members or individually to complete projects

•

Delegate assignments to designers for project completion

•

Work under pressure in a fast-paced, schedule-driven setting

•

Meet submission & fabrication schedules

•

Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

•

Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering

•

Professional Engineer License (Preferred)

•

Structural Engineering Experience – 3 years (Required)

•

Knowledge of shallow and deep foundation calculations and theory

•

Must have experience using Mathcad, STAAD Pro, LPile, and RISA Foot

•

Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills

•

Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc.

•

Must have excellent skills in the following areas: documentation, organization, communication, and problem-solving

•

Must be able to multi-task and manage workload with minimal supervision
