Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team in a dynamic construction environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems in accordance with industry codes and standards. This role requires a strong understanding of fabrication techniques and the ability to work effectively on construction sites.
Duties
•Install, maintain, and repair piping systems in compliance with relevant codes and standards.
•Fabricate pipe sections using appropriate tools and techniques.
•Utilize calipers and other measuring tools to ensure accurate dimensions for piping installations.
•Rig pipes and fittings as necessary to facilitate installation.
•Perform stick welding and FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) as required for pipe connections.
•Plumb piping systems to ensure proper alignment and functionality.
•Conduct routine inspections of piping systems to identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
•Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met.
Qualifications
•Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within the construction industry.
•Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, standards, and safety regulations.
•Proficient in using basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipefitting tasks.
•Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
•Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
•Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks associated with pipefitting work.
•Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors.
