Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hydrovac Operator to join our team in the Lewisville, TX area. As a Hydrovac Operator, you will be responsible for driving and operating specialized equipment to safely excavate and/or clean underground utilities, pipelines, etc. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits (subject to eligibility).
Responsibilities:
- Operate hydrovac equipment to safely excavate and expose underground utilities
- Perform hydro excavation tasks using high-pressure water and vacuum systems
- Safely operate and maintain the equipment
- Dig trenches and holes as required for clients' projects
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
- Complete daily pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment and report any issues or malfunctions; properly track fuel and mileage
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily reports, time sheets, and maintenance logs
Requirements:
- Valid Class B or Class A driver's license with tanker endorsement; must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a DOT drug test
- Previous experience operating hydrovac equipment is required; available to work extended hours is required; available to work for short or extended periods of time is required
- Ability to read and interpret maps, blueprints, and locate underground utilities
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance on equipment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments
