Experienced Civil Engineer

Overview

CLC Engineering is an engineering firm, located Alexandria, LA, specializing in civil/structural engineering for high voltage structures in substations and switchyards.

Please note the job is located in Alexandria, Louisiana and you must be local or willing to relocate.

Job Summary:

The Civil Grading Engineer with Experience will work along side Principal Engineers in design of substation sites along with other miscellaneous projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:

- Graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering

- Must have experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Mathcad

- Experience preparing and reviewing storm water pollution prevention plans (SWPPP) a plus

- Experience with Civil Grading & Drainage, Hydraulics & Hydrology including calculations

- Excellent skills in the following areas: documentation, organization, communication, problem-solving, and multitasking with minimal supervision

- Delegate tasks to designers on an as needed basis.

Required Skills/Abilities:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

- Proficient with CAD software.

- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.

- Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment.

- Work in our office location in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
