The Executive Director provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for three licensed child care centers serving children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. This role ensures high-quality early childhood education, regulatory compliance, financial sustainability, and a safe, nurturing environment for children, families, and staff. The Executive Director will work closely with center directors, teachers, and administrative staff to align programming, manage resources, and foster a culture of excellence across all locations.
- Oversee daily operations across three centers, ensuring compliance with state licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and quality assurance guidelines
- Develop, implement, and monitor educational programs that support developmental milestones and school readiness for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate center directors and staff, fostering professional growth, retention, and high employee engagement
- Manage financial performance of each center, including budgeting, enrollment targets, tuition collection, and expense controls
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, guardians, and the broader community, promoting open communication and family engagement
- Drive enrollment growth through community outreach, marketing, and reputation management
- Establish policies and procedures to ensure consistency, equity, and excellence across all three locations
- Monitor curriculum delivery, classroom quality, and child outcomes to ensure educational standards are met or exceeded
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies, accrediting bodies, and other partners to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
- Report regularly to the Board of Directors/ownership on performance, risks, and opportunities
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in early childhood education or multi-site operations
- Strong knowledge of licensing regulations, early childhood development standards, and best practices in child care management
- Proven ability to manage budgets, drive enrollment growth, and oversee multi-site operations
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
- Experience leading multi-center child care operations or large-scale early learning programs
- Knowledge of NAEYC accreditation or similar quality standards
