Estimator / Project Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Estimator/Project Manager to lead and oversee various projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in structural steel estimating, project management and AutoCad knowledge, ensuring successful project implementation, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage teams while maintaining a focus on quality and efficiency.

Duties

- Abide by AISC certification requirements for all structural projects.

- Obtain required information and write up project qualifications and bid proposals.

- Perform some field measuring as needed and design various solutions to the customer's needs.

- Draw burn templates on AutoCad.

- Lead project planning sessions to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables once projects are awarded.

- Manage the entire project lifecycle from initiation through closure, ensuring adherence to contract documents.

- Implement change management strategies to address evolving project needs.

- Oversee resource allocation throughout the project duration.

- Ensure quality management practices are followed throughout the project lifecycle.

- Oversee that equipment calibration and preventative maintenance tasks are being completed when due to adhere to our AISC procedures.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in estimating and project management with a strong understanding of AutoCad and drawing interpretation.

- Ability to do material take off's via "STACK" program is a plus.

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

- Strong communication skills.

- Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation is beneficial.

- Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining focus on key deliverables.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
