Job Summary

Under close supervision, the Electrical Trainee will assist employees of higher classifications on maintenance work in the generating station; under directive supervision, does such work of a relatively minor degree of scope and importance

Job Description

•

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the plant equipment and entire generating unit.

•

Responsible for operating and maintaining circulating water systems, condensate/feedwater systems, boiler systems, turbine systems, generator systems, electrical systems, and various other plant systems.

•

This is a Bargaining Unit position represented by IBEW 2337. Hourly rate $33.92.

Qualifications:

•

High school diploma, GED or equivalent - required

•

Verifiable electrical experience required.

•

Good knowledge of basic math, reading and writing skills.

•

Ability to use all hand tools and other various tools.

•

Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

•

All applicants (excluding applicants currently employed in specific positions in Fossil Generation) must be a successful candidate on the Plant Operator Selection System/Power Plant Operations and Maintenance (POSS / MASS) in order to be considered a candidate for this position. POSS / MASS exams are administered on an as-needed basis by Human Resources. Communication will be via EMAIL.
